Turbo Machinery
State-of-the-art technology drives competitiveness.
We delivered the first steam turbine to St. Petersburg over 100 years ago. With 3,500 employees and one of the most extensive product ranges, MAN Turbo is one of the leading suppliers of turbomachinery on the world market today.
- Two centuries of experience:
-
MAN Turbo is able to call on almost two centuries of experience in the development and implementation of customised products and solutions for industrial applications. Our entire product range is available to our Russian customers. Whether it be individual machines or complete turbomachinery trains, our machines form the centrepiece of complex plants. They guarantee high availability as well as an optimum cost-benefit ratio. In this way, we facilitate innovative solutions for numerous processes in a wide range of sectors: particularly in on- and offshore drilling and the transportation of oil and gas, but also in the chemical and petrochemical industry, as well as mining and steelmaking.
In 1982, we opened the first sales office in Moscow. Today, we are represented in central Russia, Siberia, and the Caspian region.
- Examples of cutting-edge products and technology:
-
In 1995, MAN Turbo designed and built a ten-stage integrally geared compressor for a Russian customer. The compressor, which is used for the production of fertiliser, was the first of its kind in the world, replacing no fewer than 12 existing piston compressors. Its outstanding features are its state-of-the-art design, small scale and low investment costs.
We were also able to reward the trust placed in us by Gazprom in an impressive way by supplying 15 pipeline compressors. With a volume flow rate of 39,000 m³/h and a propulsion power of 22.5 MW each, these compressors ensure that natural gas is reliably transported at the Gazprom subsidiaries Tjumentransgaz and Permtransgaz.
As an original equipment manufacturer, we support our customers through all the phases of a project, from planning to implementation to service – for the entire life of a machine.
